Portal Service was founded in 1963 and has continued to expand its service footprint and offerings with the rapid growth in the Williston Basin and Bakken Shale. The company is a provider of oilfield, energy infrastructure and heavy civil construction services, in addition to offering oilfield product sales, installation and rentals.

Over its 48-year history of operations, Portal Service has built a strong reputation as a customer's "one-call", single source solution provider offering services across a wide spectrum of a well's lifecycle, deep experience and high quality customer service. Because of its track-record and reputation, Portal Service has developed and sustained deep customer relationships with a number of blue-chip oil and gas producers in the industry.

Doug Johnson, President & Chief Executive Officer

Provides overall leadership; has more than 46 years of experience. Doug Johnson joined Portal Service Company providing water haul services in 1965 and in the 1970s purchased a controlling stake in the Company. He is a lifelong citizen of Lignite, ND, is actively involved in the community and serves on the leadership team of the Lignite Economic Development Corporation.

Chad Johnson, Chief Operating Officer

Coordinates daily operations and has over 20 years of experience. Mr. Chad Johnson has been involved in the company his entire career. He led Portal Service through a significant growth phase beginning in the mid- 1990s by adding services and capabilities, such as pipelining and crane operations, and opening the Tioga yard, thereby expanding Portal Service's geographic market. He is a lifelong citizen of Lignite, ND. Outside of work, Chad is actively involved in a number of late model and modified racing teams that have won a number of racing championships throughout the Midwest.

Jo Lunstad, Accounting & Administrative Manager

Responsible for book-keeping, billing, collections, payables, payroll, human resources, insurance and other administrative matters. Ms. Lunstad oversees staff of three administrative clerks. Formerly was a United Parcel Service branch administrative supervisor in Detroit Lakes, MN for 16 years.
